Saturday 5 January, 8pm: Tree House Session.  Our monthly open mic for music and spoken word.  £3 inc book voucher; tea/coffee available, BYOB.  Performers and listeners equally welcome; performers can book a slot on the door.  Doors 7.30pm.

Tuesday 8 January, 8pm: art history lecture.  Art and Reality: should paintings look realistic?  With a focus on Renaissance painting (but not exclusively), a look at how painters sought to represent three-dimensionality, and what might be meant by ‘reality’.  £8 on the door, inc tea/coffee.

Wednesday 9 January, 7pm until 9ish: Nifty Needles.  Weekly social craft group, bring your current project – small amount of table space available.  £3 inc refreshments. Come even if you just fancy a cup of tea and a chat.

Thursday 10 January, 7.30pm: PGR Poetry.  Monthly poetry night hosted by Kim and John Watson.  Headliner + open mic slots bookable on the night.  Poets and listeners equally welcome.  £3.
