This week is Kenilworth Arts Festival week, so we’re supporting that as much as we can – amazing music every night, and other things happening, do pick up a programme or have a look at the Kenilworth Arts Festival website. We do have a couple of things happening! And I have included a couple of things early next week too.
Wednesday 26 September, 7pm until 9ish: Nifty Needles. Weekly social craft group, bring your current project – small amount of table space available. £3 inc refreshments. Come even if you just fancy a cup of tea and a chat
Friday 28 September, 10.30 onwards: Macmillan coffee morning. Donations of cake or biscuits gratefully received! We’ll also be raffling a couple of paintings by a lovely local artist, and there will be offers on books with some of our takings going to Macmillan. New date will be announced soon.
Saturday 29 September, 2-3pm: Matt Black with stories and poems for children – free, fun family event, all welcome!
Monday 1 October, 7.30pm: Mindful Meditation. All welcome, those new to mindfulness as well as those who’ve done it before. £6.50, inc. tea.
Tuesday 2 October, 8pm: Art history talk, on Caspar David Friedrich (early 19th century landscape painter). £8 inc tea/coffee, all very welcome.
Pick up a Lost Words sheet to explore Abbey Fields or any bit of nature you might want to visit. Just a simple, fun, free activity to get everyone looking at and thinking about nature.
Join in with our Kenilworth Reads project: we’re trying to get the whole town reading My Name Is Leon by Kit de Waal.
